For those that prefer the security of a DA trigger, this lets you carry that way much like the double-action Sig Sauer pistols. Another difference is the sight cuts, as the PCR and P-01 have a unique rear sight dovetail alongside the rear ramp sight. The CZ 75 Compact uses the same rear sight dovetail as the standard CZ 75B. A full blown trigger job would still help my CZ 75 as the hammer moves backa bit when the triggers pulled in single action. But it good enough for me. Or at least it was until I bought a P-07 from David at CJW with his Combat Kit on it. He makes the Omega trigger better than most off the rack 1911’s on single action.

CZ with a decocking lever would need to be carried hammer down - draw - fire first round in DA - then the rest can be fired in SA.

Problem. Solution. Feeding Issue. Replace missing washer on sear pin, arrange magazines, polish feed ramp. Ejection Issue. Replace the recoil spring with a new one. Problem with the Decocker. Inspect spring, contact CZ for replacement parts or swap with standard components. Trigger Issue.

How does the trigger compare to the original trigger, better or worse. I know it allows you to switch between safety and decocker, but I am more interested in function and feel. The 75 Omega is simply a steel 75 frame with Omega trigger system. The Omega trigger is very popular in the P-07. The only reason the 75 Omega is not as popular is because they are very hard to find in the USA. If possible try to shoot a regular 75 and a P-07. Then you can decide if you like the standard trigger or the Omega trigger.

Unlike the CZ 75, the P-07 comes standard with a decocker/safety lever. But CZ 75 aficionados should not despair, as CZ’s Omega trigger system is at the heart of the P-07 design. This system has fewer parts compared to the CZ 75 and in turn touts a better trigger pull in both DA and single-action (SA) modes.
