However, a 12-cylinder engine with 500cc of cylinder capacity would have a total displacement of 6.0 litres, making it a far larger engine. In fact, large engines are often known by their capacity, like the 351 Ford GT (which has a displacement of 351 cubic-inches), or the Monaro GTS 350 (350 cubic-inches).
as a ford tech that works on these a lot, I would go with the 2.5. We have seen issues with both the 1.6 and 2.0 engines but very little from the 2.5L even with high miles on them.

The mechanical grip of the 235/50R19 Hankook Ventus S1 Nobel2 tires on our top-trim 1.5T Premier test car seemed appropriate for the segment and delivered top-of-class 0.83 g lateral acceleration. Honestly I'd go with the 2.0 for the fuel efficiency and power, just because, it's a corolla. The more powerful 175bhp 2.0-litre diesel has better low-end pulling power but wasn't as popular because it was expensive when new. The 161bhp 1.6 petrol is the least recommendable engine for it
The naturally aspirated 1.4 / 1.6 gasoline engines, available since 1995, belong to the successful K series. Malicious people will probably find that they are much better designs than the cars to which they were mounted. Renault offered 1.4 / 1.6 engine in most of its models – from Twingo to Laguna and Kangoo.
